Shu-Fly.com is an extension of Shu-Fly Fishing Lures, Inc. Skip Storch, Founder and President, has been making lures, jigs and flies since 1974. Skip started fishing in the 1960’s when his father took him fishing for trout using worms and Velveeta cheese as “the secret weapon.” Skip has owned and operated stores in Cornwall, New York in the foot hills of the Catskills and the Salmon River in Pulaski, New York at the Portly Angler Lodge. His latest venture is a new store located in Nanuet, New York, easily accessible from all local and major highwayways and only 30 minutes from Manhattan.

Skip is a New York State Licensed Guide and has been fishing the northeast United States waters for 50 years. His understanding of the ecosystem coupled with his knowledge of fluid dynamics with respect to the habits of fish and their movements during rest, feeding and migration, makes Skip a “Guide’s Guide.” Fisherman from around the world seek his understanding of the waters from Cape Cod to Cape May. These waters are known for Stripers, Blues and Albacore. Skip is also sought out for his fishing knowledge of New York cold and warm water fisheries. His expertise extends from the Catskills to the Adirondacks and the tributaries of Lake Ontario.

One of the major things that separates Shu-Fly from the rest is our custom day trips, or multi-day excursions. These Fresh or Saltwater Northeast guided trips can be arranged for 1 to 5 people. Corporate group trips are encouraged. Skip will design your trip based on your needs, experience and your dreams.
