Skip Storch Premium Flies are designed and tied by Skip Storch. When asked if he is going fishing, Skip usually replies, “I don’t fish. I research and develop.” Some of these patterns are revised classic patterns that have been modified to catch more fish and will last fish after fish. Skip personally guarantees his flies against any defects. They are tied on Mustad, Daiichi and Gamakatsu hooks with top of the line fly tying materials.
Skip Storch, a professional fly tyer, credits both his parents for his artistic achievements. Skip’s parents are artists and educators. Skip’s father, Lee Storch, is a painter and sketcher. Since the 1940’s most of his work is of Cape Cod and the Caribbean. His mother, Phyllis Storch, specializes in free-form ceramics and original design needlepoint.
His parents helped Skip to understand subject matter by observing and studying textures, hues and patterns. Skip creates flies with his mind, heart and soul.
